Jim Neath has a great blog entry on Social Network Site quickstarts.  He covers a great list of plugin’s most of which I have mentioned in this blog or used in the development of skiptree.com.  If you are plotting your own social networking site, you absolutely have to travel to his blog entry on the subject! 

For the really lazy types (the point and drool variety) who want a social network site that runs out of the box for free,  place the arrow thing that you move around and click and stuff over this link: here. and… click.

Blog Engine for Merb

It looks like Feather has now officially been released.  Feather is a lightweight blogging engine for merb with plugin extensions.  You can get the code (git clone git:://github.com/mleung/feather.git), check out the wiki, or the authors blog entry.
